1. Why my employee details are not shown after login and apply for leave?

There are only 2 possibilities where your employee details are not input into the system or your leave function has not been activated yet.

Do consult IT for further advise.

 

2. Cannot cancel leave due to update button for cancellation is missing.

System will not allow any leave cancellation after applied date from exceed more than today’s date.

For example:- 

Applied from 10-JAN-2023 to 11-JAN-2023 and today’s date is 11-JAN-2023 which mean you no longer able to cancel leave as your applied from date exceed today’s date.

This apply to all leave types.

 

3. Can i apply back date annual leave?

Yes you can but bare in mind once submit will no longer able to cancel. 

Assuming you are applying for emergency leave after come back to work.

 

4. What is the maximum date i can apply for?

You can apply as long as you want and will depend on your Manager / Management approval.

Keep in mind there are some limit date you can apply such as Compassionate Leave, Hospital Leave, Married Leave, Maternity Leave & Paternity Leave.

*Compassionate Leave – Maximum 3 Days Including Weekends & Public Holidays.
*Hospital Leave – Maximum 60 Days Including Weekends & Public Holidays.
*Married Leave – Maximum 3 Days Including Weekends & Public Holidays And Only Once.
*Maternity Leave – Maximum 98 Days Including Weekends & Public Holidays.
*Paternity Leave – Maximum 7 Days Including Weekends & Public Holidays.

*Subject to change depending on current Malaysia labour law.

 

5. I did not receive any email notification after submit for leave application.

You have no active email account registered within Widetech and hence no email notification.

You can refer How To Check Leave Application Status if you do not have an active email account. 

Do consult IT if you do have email account and did not receive email notification.

 

6. How long will the system will keep the leave application history?

The record will be kept for 2 years from the date applied.

Any record older than 2 years will be automatically deleted from the system.

 

7. Can i export out the leave application into excel or any other format?

No. At the moment is not supported.

 

8. I cannot apply leave. Button is not responding.

You are using older browser version and usually happened in Windows XP.

Best recommended to use Google Chrome with at least version 100.x and above.

Do consult IT for further explanation if required.

 

9. Can i apply leave through outside from Widetech network?

Yes you can. 

The leave application does not required any VPN connection.

You can apply through any devices and make sure to type into the browser link:-

https://wmsb.widetech.com.my

 

10. My Manager / Management approval name or email is incorrect.

Immediately inform IT.

Sometime this may happen if any employee change department or change department head and no information was given to IT to update the system.

 

11. Can i view my colleague leave application status?

No. Employee only can view their own leave application status.

Except for respective own Department Manager / Director & HR Team.

 

12. Can i apply on behalf of another employee?

Yes you can. Do refer How To Apply On Behalf

Please bare in mind only main applicant can check leave status on behalf of another employee.
